Donald Eugene Taylor, long time superintendent for Garvalagia and Walter Toebe Construction Company, passed away at age 76 this past Saturday, July 2, 2011.

He is survived by his beautiful wife Kay (O’Neil) and was a loving father of Debbie (Jim) Sandercott, Don (Kim) Taylor, Chris (Denise) Taylor, and Jenni Taylor (Mark Eaton).  Grandfather of Michael, Max, Markus, and Becca.

During Don’s prestigious career he managed the field operations for some of the largest and most notable civil engineering projects in the State of Michigan.  He was known throughout the industry as a highly intelligent, honest and tough as nails highwayman.  His influence on the people he worked with is still felt today and family, friends, coworkers and colleagues will miss him.
